Frank Miles is a partner in the firm of Hayes, Hammer, Miles & Cox, LLP, practicing primarily in the area of land development and real estate law.

He has a Bachelor of Science and a J. D. from the University of Illinois. He came to McLean County in 1973 to serve as the full time staff attorney for the Town of Normal. He left that position to practice privately with his current firm in 1978.

Frank has been involved in a wide variety of projects, including the Eastlake development (520 acres east of Bloomington), the Palmer development (720 acres in southwest Bloomington), all development activities of Prenzler Development Companies (including Old Farm Lakes, Park Place, Park Trails and Wittenberg Subdivision), the Mays Department Store (Famous Barr) expansion at Eastland, all the Holder family developments, and a range of other real estate related projects. His work is not entirely in the private sector. For example, he prepared and processed the adoption of the Menard County Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Code and Subdivision regulations.

While his practice focuses on real estate and land development issues, Frank also represents a wide variety of charitable, human service, religious and arts organizations, including Center for Human Services, MARC Center, Habitat for Humanity, YWCA, Heartland Productions, and The Baby Fold.

Frank chaired the Downtown Bloomington Cultural Commission during its first two years of existence and has served on the Board of the Illinois Symphony, the Illinois Shakespeare Society, the Pratt Music Foundation and ISU's Friends of the Arts.

The Miles family includes Gigi, Director of Development for Illinois State University College of Fine Arts, and 5 grown children.
